play the piano

so…i’ve never taken any formal lessons before but i’m working on learning. i’m using books, websites (youtube), and anything else i can to help. right now i’m working on the song comptine d’un autre ete l’apres midi by Yann Tiersen. it’s my favorite song on the piano and so far i’ve learned the first part. not much progress but i just started two days ago.

so i just bought my first instructional book and i’ve already learned a little bit plus my mom used to play piano a lot so she’ll be helping me a little bit too. unfortunately i’ll be moving and probably won’t be able to practice as often as i should but i have a job now and maybe i’ll be able to save up and buy one off craigstlist or something. we’ll see!
