get corrective eye surgery or lasik

i can’t say for sure if this was worth doing or not until.. my dry eyes, halos are gone for sure. they say this should happen at the six month mark. so i’m waiting patiently. until then i have to put eyedrops every 2~3hrs, or when they feel dry. vision is markedly sharp when i put in the drops.
more than anything tho, it is definitely an amazing experience.. for a person who had -8.25 vision in both eyes. i was practically blind!!

i actually never considered this because i reallie thought that they would numb yoo using needles!! but while speaking with a co-worker who had the surgery already, she told me they numb yoo using eyedrops, phew! my parents have been pushing me.. saying they would pay for it. only thing, there is a very well known doctor here in nyc, and they didn’t expect that much. the doc DID quote me for initial consult, actual surgery, follow up and everything for two years as $4400 with employee discount. is that about average? i think these people reallie leaped everyone’s hopes up saying $1000 for one eye!! maybe we didn’t think about all the additional costs all along.
