Not enough people showed up for the poster workshop, so it got cancelled. Bummer!
I don’t have a Plan C yet. I’ll have to sleep on it.

I didn’t make it to the planning meeting for MAPP, the neighborhood art project, after all. I ended up helping M with a job application – so it came down to what I needed to do vs. what I wanted to do.
But I have a plan B: tomorrow afternoon, there’s a workshop on making political art posters. Cool!! We’re so there.
And the MAPP meeting happens every month, so I can go in December instead.
what’s next, that is! Week after next I’m going to start getting involved with a neighborhood art and performance project. Every couple of months on a Saturday night, they turn backyards and garages and coffeeshops into galleries and performance spaces.
I don’t know whether I’ll turn my own yard or garage into a temporary art space, or just help someone else with their project. Either way, it seems like exactly the kind of thing I want to be doing. So I’m going to an orientation on Nov. 7 for new folks.
...the park(ing) day project I did.
So what’s next?@?
I need a new art project, besides stuff like creative cooking and gardening.
I need to go to the museum I joined, too! Inspiration.
I’m going to work on a project to temporarily transform a metered parking space into a park!

This is making up for the fact that I haven’t been working on any art for burning man (which is next week). Unless you count helping my boyfriend get ready for his first burning man….that’s a kind of art project, I guess!
Burning Man has been the catalyst for me to feel like I can be an artist, but mostly I don’t make time to make art.
