give away the things that I don't need

well it was pouring rain but I rode up the big hill on thursday with my saddlebags full of old clothes. [this could double as an entry under my “get around on two wheels or two legs” goal.]

i really have no excuse for not giving stuff away, because the thrift store is AT my office. It’s literally downstairs from my desk, and the proceeds benefit the services for seniors at the nonprofit where I work. Plus, I get a tax deduction for the value of the stuff I give away.

It’s a no brainer!

...I took a bunch of stuff to the thrift store – as much as I could carry on my bike. A few clothes, a few books, a few knickknacks.

I only changed my mind about one thing at the last minute – pulled it out of the pile and put it back in my bag!

Still have lots of other things I could get rid of. But this was a good start.
