Write a rails app in 24 hours

Did we all fail or what? I simply couldn’t put together enough attention span and hours of work on a Saturday. Not squished into the middle of an active social calendar. :) What about everyone else?

I have my model relationships (and my database schema in place). Total time spent on these tasks… about 2-3. Lot of other stuff going on kept interrupting me. I may or may not finish up the UI tonight. Stay tuned.

Friday nights are for partying, not coding, and mine officially ended after breakfast at 6am. Much necessary sleep and now I’m ready to begin.

Description: A trust-based voting system

• Main page contains current poll questions
• Poll questions have tags
• New poll questions appear at the top of the homepage
• Poll questions have a timeout which determines when they fall off the homepage, meaning polling is done
• User may vote themselves OR
• User can assign their vote to someone else that they trust to know more about the subject than they do, by picking the tag(s) to delegate and supplying the trustee’s email address.
• If the trustee is not a member of Canton, they are invited to join
• Canton lets you know whenever one of your trustees votes on a poll question for you and gives you the ability to override that vote if you disagree.
• If you overrule a trustee vote, Canton allows you to send a comment to your trustee telling them why
