Earth Hour 2009 aims to reach more than one billion people in 1000 cities around the world, inviting communities, business and governments to switch off lights for one hour at 8:30pm on Saturday March 28 and sending a powerful global message that we care enough about climate change to take action.

some good news
my mom found a home for the dog we found on the street. a girl who works for the vet is going to keep him! i’m content because now he has a home and a good person to look after him.
you see, something really work out when you decide to make a difference. it’s rewarding :)

animal rescue
a few days ago me, my mom and my sister found a dog on the street. he was with excruciating pain, his left leg had been torn apart. my mom took him to the vet and he is better now.
the vet told us that his wound was probably caused by some human with a knife. i can’t bear the thought of a person being capable of such an horrid act against another living creature.
since my family lives in an apartment where 1) we do not have much space 2) animals are not allowed we are having a tough time trying to find a place for him to stay. we really wanted to stay with him. i guess adoption will be very hard… because of what has been done to his leg, he’ll probably be crippled for the rest of his life.
meanwhile he is staying in a dog hotel, but we won’t be able to keep him there for much more time.
some good news?
i live in another city and the place that i stay is a house. my landlord just adopted a female dog. he and a friend took her from the streets. they took her to a vet and she is beautiful and healthful. by doing that they gave her not only just a shelter and food. they are also providing her love, care and forbidden her to be beaten again. she is having a hard time to adjust in her new home. she does not understand that now she is safe. i hope she’ll be all righ by tomorrow morning.
important
if you see anyone mistreating an animal, please help it. it breaks my heart to see that people can be so cruel. it’s in our hands to DO something.
