I even completed the 25 minute run. I really wasn’t sure about it about halfway through, but I made myself finish it. And I did!!! This was the first time I had run where I could track my distance well, too, and it looks like I ran 2.3 miles in 25 minutes. That’s a lot quicker than I thought I was doing.

So I did week 5, including the 20 minute run, and it really wasn’t bad at all. Yay!!! I’m starting to get really excited that I’m actually sticking with this and kinda sorta enjoying it, too.
I’m really a little bit nervous about tomorrow’s run. Yesterday’s was two 8 minute intervals and they really weren’t as bad as I expected them to be at all. Tomorrow’s is a 20 minute run, which I am terrified of. I guess the worst that can happen is that I have to stop and walk, but I’m going to try my darndest to do the whole thing at once. The program has not let me down so far, and I’ve been able to do everything else, so I should be able to do this, too. No…I will be able to do this, too.
I’m amazed that I have stuck with this for as long as I have. I came in from running last night and realized that I really felt good, and I had run more than I think I ever have before. Mileage wise, I probably still need some distance, but I’m traveling (running and walking) about 2.4 miles a day.
I’ve signed up for a race in December, and will probably be signing up for one that takes place a month from now. I’m really doing this!
The second week really wasn’t bad at all. I’m not really liking the third week very much right now, but I’ve only done the routine once so far, so I’m sure it’ll get better. I’m impressed so far with my abiity to stick with this even for the two weeks I have. This has outlasted any of my other exercise ambitions.
My goal is to be ready to run a 5k in seven more weeks. I should probably find a race to enter so I have something sticking me to it. I just finished week 1 of the couch to 5k program and it went really well, so it looks like I’ll continue to enjoy it. Yay!!!
