identify 100 things that make me happy (besides money)

Z calling me “baby”. I can’t pinpoint why exactly… maybe because for the last 3 years we’ve used terms such as “babe” and “honey” so something different feels refreshing and more endearing. Either way, I feel so loved.

Last night I locked my bedroom door because I heard noises. I was so glad to unlock it this morning and not find a stranger in my kitchen.

Any Alaskan knows when you hear the Sand Hill Cranes summer is on the way. Any Alaskan also knows summers here are the best!

I love being a part of the online community again. It’s been so long!

Or rather, how refreshing it is to have my hair cut and discover that under that mess of frizz there were gorgeous curls waiting to be let loose. Love it!

I love the way paying bills, changing my address and negotiating with Z’s family while he’s away makes me feel like a grown-up.

... waking up to his voice even when he can’t be here.

And to be more specific: the internet. We got it when I was about 10 and I took to it immediately. I love creating webpages and seeing all of the outrageous things out there.

I’m so glad I was born with the predisposition to love books. Everyday I meet amazing people, see beautiful places, bear witness to apalling events – not everyone is so lucky.
