I go through bouts where I’m too lazy, too tired, too busy, etc. But I’m incorporating exercises into my morning routine now. Just little things. The problem before was that I felt like a work out had to be thirty minutes or more. Now I’m just doing exercises in the morning, and I plan to do more and more as time goes on. The past few days, I’ve just been doing squats and lunges. Today I had a little more time cause I was off, so here’s everything I did…
- 15 minutes of yoga
- 50 medicine ball crunches
- 50 squats
- 10 forward/backward lunges on each leg
- 1 minute of abs with the yoga block
I’m going to start keeping a log of this (or trying to) so I can keep track of my progress.
I want to be one of them. I want to be someone who loves working out, who looks forward to it, and who feels incomplete when they haven’t done it that day. I want to be someone who’s healthy and active.
I stopped going to my boot camp classes. I want to say that my membership ran out, but I honestly just got busy and stopped going because I wanted to sleep.
I want to be someone who makes time to work out.
I jogged for about twenty minutes on the treadmill today and did a few other exercises. I’m going to stop beating myself up over not doing a lot. I’m just going to keep trying to do something physical every few days, and eventually expand it to everyday.
So, I’ve been going to my boot camp classes twice a week for about three weeks now. I’d like to get it up to three times a week, but it is so, so, so hard to wake up early. I’ll get there soon, hopefully.
The first two weeks, I was sore, but not really seeing results. Yesterday, I actually noticed that my lower stomach is getting more defined, and my boyfriend made a nice comment about it too. I’m gaining weight, which I’m guessing is muscle mass, and I can feel my legs getting stronger and more toned too.
The results are really nice because it’s good to know all this effort is working. I’m really sick this week, so unfortunately, I won’t be going tomorrow, but next week, I’m really going to try to go three times. I have about five more weeks of this membership, and I can’t wait to see how I look at the end of it.
It’s good that my friend is going with me to these classes because it gives me extra motivation. This morning I woke up at 6AM so I could eat breakfast and go through my morning routine before going to my class at 7AM. I had so much trouble waking up. I almost called my friend to tell her I wasn’t going, but I knew she’d be mad, especially after I had made a big deal about going all week. So I sucked it up and got out of my warm, comfy bed to go exercise. We got there about ten minutes late because we got lost, but it was a good work out. I’m glad I went and I’m (kind of) looking forward to going on Friday. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing results.
My first class is going to be on Wednesday at 7AM. Eeek. That’s early. Hopefully it’ll be a good way to start off my day though. And it gives me a reason to use my new work out clothes. :)
I bought several gym memberships via Groupon, and I plan to start using them in January (after my vacation). The first one is “Get Sexy Bootcamp” haha. It sounds ridiculous, but it’s supposed to be really good. I do best in a class setting, so I’m hoping this trainer/founder of the classes will be inspiring and help me get into shape and motivate me to stay that way.
