My job put me on the clock, so I can’t be late all the time or have extra days off. I also can’t quit right now, and I’m not looking for another job right now. Right now I’ll focus on my other goal, “be financially independent”.

taking off extra time if I feel I could benefit from it. I’ll see how I feel. I have one sick day plus holidays left this year.
Other than taking all my vacation and sick days, being out for holidays and hoping for an occasional snow day, I want to find more ways. It’s a bit of a contradiction with my other goals, the need for my job and keeping my job. I found a quote by Thomas Fuller: “Contradiction should awaken attention, not passion.” Attention: I’ve been passionate with my contradictions. More attention is needed.
