i finished community college, got my A.A in Psychology, and transferred to UC Merced! i’m a junior and after this current semester (Spring ‘09) and summer school i have 2 more semesters until i graduate with my B.A degree in (Spring ‘10)! i’m undecided as to whether i want to get my Master’s but i don’t have to decide just yet so i’m weighing my options. i’m so happy i went back to school.

i went back to community college spring ‘07 and i have one more semester til i get my A.A in psychology after which i will transfer to UC Merced. it’s a new university with smaller class sizes and a ton of financial aid. i completed a transfer admission guarantee and as long as i pass these last few classes, i am guaranteed to get in to the school. how exciting! things are really looking up.
i’m almost done with my first year of college. i’m extremely proud and excited. i declared psychology as my major and right now i have an A+(103%) in my Psych 1A:Intro to Psychology class. i have one more year at the community college before i’ll get an A.A in psychology and in social science, as well as transfer to the University to complete my B.A. after that i plan on getting my Master’s in Counseling Psychology. at least that’s the plan for now. i couldn’t be happier with my decision to go back to school. even though i feel old as dirt with my 24th birthday coming up in Nov. better late than never though. thank you for your encouragement and support everyone. ciao ~JaMi
well today was the first day of spring semester for me. it was rather, umm, interesting. first my guidance class was really fun. i made the mistake of letting the instructor know that i am class clown. uh oh. he then told us he was in the military, so i quickly shut my mouth, lol. my english class is going to be a drag i can already tell. Dr. so-n-so is a real hardass, and we’re going to spend the whole semester working on one big research paper. i really hope i stick with college this time ‘round. i’m 23 and not getting any younger. gRr
well, i registered for community college, again. i took a baby step by taking a 7-week cna class at a local convalescent home first. that was to make sure i could stay focused and driven to actually complete something. well, i did, and got my state license as well. that alone gave me the courage to sign up to take my general ed courses. i won’t plan too far ahead. just gonna take it one semester at a time. my first class is Tuesday Jan 16th..wish me luck!
i tried junior college but it just wasn’t for me. i dropped out like 3x. now that’s sad. to drop out of a community college, more than once, lol. it was during my whole rebellious stage. i hadn’t ever turned in assignments throughout high school and i surely wasn’t going to start. of course that didn’t fly so i had to go. another reason is that i have terrible concentration. i think i could probably succeed if i do online courses. something i’ll definately look into.
