publish a photo book

I finished writing the first draft of my novel today so I can leave that alone to bake in the sun for a while and I can focus on my photobook again. I am actually pretty far with this goal. I will self publish a collection of my photographs in combination with some texts I wrote. I want this goal finished by march.

I have so much written material from my aneurysm project which I should combine with pictures that support the texts. I want to finish this project preferably before the end of the year. I am very determined this time.

I dropped the female project. Instead I am going to publish my portfolio. It is almost done, I already had it testprinted once, but I don’t know. There is something missing.

Dear female 43things friends (sorry guys). I am currently working on a book about the paradoxes within female friendships and I am looking for objects (letters, photobootstuff, other photographs, a gift you got from a friend who moved away etc) with a story attached to them. For example: A picture of you and your, at that time, best friend, aww. And than the story about you stealing her groom at the altar. I am also looking for written experiences, nice stories and nasty stories of things you went through with your female friends. I would love it if those experiences would be handwritten.

I have a concept I am pretty happy about and I got two photos sketched out. I am going to kickstart this tonight :D

Blurb has this grant for the best self published photobook of the year. It is a good reason to work harder on my projects and get a book finished right?
The deadline is July 16, 2009. So that would mean almost two months to finish a body of work and than a month of work on the book. If I work on it every day perhaps I could get it finished? I am going to try.
