make a living singing opera

Orlando audition went well yesterday. Now the hard part – waiting!

but it’s a start. I head to NYC tonight for an audition tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed that I make it to the finals.

I’ve got two degrees in classical singing. I’ve done gigs around town – some I’ve gotten paid for, some not!

I’ve finally gotten hooked up with the local opera company, though, and I’m singing as a featured artist on a gala concert tonight. I’m hoping this will lead to other things with them.

I’ve also decided that in addition to the YAP circuit this year, I’m going to contact small companies directly and try going that route as well. It would also be nice to get a large competition under my belt.
