I finally beat “Raining Blood” and “Take This Life”. I just have to beat Lou to finish the Expert career. After finishing “Raining Blood”, I tried about 6 times to beat Lou, but I failed each time. I will try again later. I’m sure I can do it.
After that, I will still have one bonus song left: “Through the Fire & Flames”. I don’t have any plans on beating that one soon. I still can’t make it past the intro.
I beat two more songs: “The Way it Ends” (bonus song) and “One”.
Actually, I beat “One” twice. Playing the easier version on Guitar Hero:Metallica helped. I can survive the solo just fine if I can come into it with a full meter, but I used to have trouble with the bridge. I’m now great at it. I could play it perfectly if it weren’t for the RYO chords (or is it RBO?).
It’s not beaten yet, but I’ve made improvements on “Raining Blood”. I had never gotten past “Mosh1” before tonight (the part with the very fast alternating four note scales with random chords thrown in for good measure). I passed it three times tonight, once without Star Power. Twice, I failed soon after “Mosh1”. Once, I made it to 91%.
It will be beaten soon…hopefully.

I’ll consider this goal completed when I pass the first two since the others are bonus songs and I don’t expect to ever beat “Through the Fire and Flames”.
I just recently beat this game on Hard including all of the bonus songs. I had taken a break from this game for a while and played other Guitar Hero/Rock Band games (mainly World Tour, Rock Band 1 & 2). Going back to this game, it seemed easier than I had remembered. I guess I’ve gotten better since last I played.
On expert, I had been stuck on “Before I Forget”. I was able to beat it and the encore (“Cult of Personality”) on my first try (with Hyperspeed 2) since my break. “Cliffs of Dover” and “Number of the Beast” weren’t too bad (2nd try and 1st try, respectively). I’m stuck on “Raining Blood” and “One” right now, but I’m sure I’ll eventually beat them. I also went back and played through the bonus songs I was stuck on and beat all of them except “Take This Life”, “The Way it Ends”, and “Through the Fire and Flames”. I should have “Take This Life” and “The Way it Ends” beaten soon, but I don’t think I’ll ever beat “Through the Fire and Flames”.
