There are many articulate people on this site and by reading their posts I’ve come across new words and diverse ways of stating things.
So thanks for that!!!

I have been taking note of all the word-a-day emails that appear in my Inbox but admittedly haven’t used all that many in day to day conversation.
One thing I have been doing is using an online thesaurus when writing emails/posts to substitute words I’d normally use with words that I think may sound more appropriate or impressive.
I’m going to remove the goal yet still continue to strive for a more eloquent and expressive way of articulating myself.
bloviate \BLOH-vee-ayt\, intransitive verb:
To speak or write at length in a pompous or boastful manner.
I love this word!
titivate (TIT-i-vayt) verb tr., intr.
To make smarter; to spruce up; to decorate.I’ve taken the boys to stay with my family in Devonport for the rest of the week so that my husband can titivate our house. I can’t wait to see the results.
I’ve subscribed to dictionary.com to have the Word of The Day emailed to me. So it’s a start. Now I need to use them.
