I have a ‘79 Schwinn Speedster that is beautiful but is really tough to ride. Been trying to get it in better shape for a while, it has new wheels and pads but needs some serious tuning and wheel straightening.
The other bike is a Fuji roadbike. I fixed the front Axle and bearing this past weekend. The wheels need straightening as well, need to get good at trueing, I think that’s all it takes. I fixed the front brake on it, but it needs new pads and more adjusting. I think once the front wheel is trued (is that the word?) it’ll completely stop rubbing against the pad.
I’m gonna go to http://www.broadwaybicycleschool.com/ in Cambridge (Boston) if I can get my bike rack fixed for my car. With their expertise I hope to learn to do it right instead of winging it.
Look forward to bike rides to Walden Pond this summer :)
