give blood again

The Red Cross really screwed me around last time I tried to donate. Cancelled the drive I was going to directly after work. Sent out a notification email the same day – I can’t check that at work! What a waste of my time.
Anyone know if there’s an organization in Omaha similar to the Siouxland Blood Bank? They treated me very nicely and I want to give blood, but I’m done with the Red Cross, at least for right now.

Going to go to the drive at a local church next Monday! I want this time to go really well like the first try.

Last time I tried to donate (a month ago) they scraped the needle around inside of my arm for a while before they realized there was a piece of my skin stuck on the tip. That didn’t feel nice.
I didn’t even get to give blood then.
I should go back on Wednesday to give them another chance. I will be nervous this time.

I got impatient for the card they were supposed to send me in the mail after waiting seven weeks. I called the bloodbank today and found out my blood type is O positive!

Why does this excite me so?

Oh, well. Yay!

but I’m going right back at the beginning of July! It’s so easy to do something good, I want to make a habit.
