I’m doing pretty well on this goal…I can climb stairs without being winded…heck I can carry both my kids (about 50 lbs worth of little boy) up the stairs at the same time without getting winded…I think I need to mark this off as done. The goal that will replace it will be to excercise at least 6 times a week.

I think I’m getting in shape and maybe by some standards I am in shape. I work out almost religiously…which means almost every day. But, I’m not overly fanatical about it. I make sure that if something comes up, family wise, that that takes precedence. But, for the most part I’m able to get a minimum of 30-45 minutes a day…sometimes even longer! YAY!
Yesterday my son had swimming lessons and I thought I would be able to excercise when I got home…well, I did, but only made it through about 25 minutes of excercise before my other son started screaming for some reason and I had to head downstairs to assist my husband…then tonight my husband didn’t make it home from work until the kids were in bed…too late to excercise. Grrr…hopefully the rest of the week will be better.
on a fairly regular basis for the past 4 months and feel like I”m in better shape but not in good shape yet. I’m toying with the idea of buying a heartrate monitor to make sure that I’m working out hard enough to do me some good. I sweat like a big and breathe heavier…but not sure if I’m sweating enough or breathing heavy enough.
I realized that in order for me to get in shape this is what I must do. With two small children, this is easier said than done. But, now, I have my husband watch them for about 45 minutes to an hour so that I can go upstairs and work out. I feel better and hopefully it will help me keep my blood pressure under control. I am in better shape than I have been in awhile but I wouldn’t call myself “in shape” yet.
