start a book club

we are reading wicked and i enlarged the group a bit which should be interesting! i’m not sure what to do about women who haven’t read it but i guess its a social thing if nothing else!

and it was so much fun! the ladies were over for about 4 hours and we discussed the book for about an hour…then we chatted about everything else!

and i’ve picked the biggest book…the marie antionnette book which inspired the movie! the book is huge and while its interesting, its so long!

bit off a bit more than i can chew this time around!

we’ve got 5 women and a list of books!

gonna be so much fun! i’m so glad i did this…

because the drama with the boy happened that night but i’m going to start it up again and already there are more women who want to join so that’s exciting!

i’m excited but i still don’t have any book ideas!

two people cancelled so now i only have three people but i may try and get someone else next month.

i have received a confirmation from the 4 women that i invited but now i just need some suggestions of books…

any ideas? looking for some light fiction one step from current best sellers…bit more substance…

my book club idea isn’t working…

i wanted to start a club for people interested in budhism or ‘feel good’ books but my friends are too busy…

now i’m feeling silly wanting to start a group in the first place…maybe i’ll just leave it!

i’m planning on starting a book club in september…i like elise’s idea of letting people bring a book, regardless of the genre! seems more fun that way. i was gonna have a group for those interested in budhist/personal growth issues and another for general lit…not sure now!

anyway, i’ll keep you posted!
