be a better sister

and i needn’t ‘work’ on this anymore!

i’m having a great time just hanging out with her. she came out with some friends and i (something she’s never done before) and it was so much fun.

i’m trying to include her in most things i do, when she has time she can come, when not, we can find time to do other things :)

she even met the boy!

next month and she accepted! yeah!! she’s very shy and i’m always a bit worried that she’ll feel the invite is an obligation, not just an request!

this will be great fun!

because her’s died and she’s in university…

also took her chicken dinner i’d cooked for myself! i remember what it was like being in school and even the littlest bit helps!

i think if i keep this up the way it is until the end of the year i will count this as done!

we had such a great time on sunday, we were able to relax and enjoy each other’s company and i felt so amazing after i left!

for dinner at her place and i’m gonna give her the gift i got her and my computer monitor so that she has a better one for classwork!

but i don’t think she’s going to feel that its enough.

i feel challenged by my want to be a better sister, more open and available and connected, and being frustrated at her lack of interest/involvement in pursuing a relationship with me!

well i sent her an e-card and she got it and opened it (i know because hallmark sent me a confirmation) but i didn’t get an email thanks from her…

bit disheartening…

i’m sending her an email right now to say hi and send her a big hug!

i am going to start having monthly dates with her so that we can go out and enjoy things together! i’ve been thinking more about my sister lately since we get lots of siblings, young and old, who come through here.

i really appreciate what she adds to my life and i’m lucky to have her! i just need to make sure she knows that!

i sent my sister a graduation card, she’s only completed her first year of massage therapy school but i know she’s worked really hard so i figured she deserved the congratulations!

now i’ll try and find her something to take back with me from france…that’s the goal for the next 3 weeks!
