tonight i made pasta. i didn’t make a whole lot of pasta, but i did make more than one meal’s worth. before sitting down to eat i took my food and portioned it out into three little bowls. i ate one little bowl (and hand washed it!) and put the other two in the fridge.
hot damn. i 1.washed my dish before bed and 2. ate a whole lot less than i would have had i not portioned out the food.
eating less left room for the cinnasugar knots i made.

today janet and i walked to wendy’s. we both ordered something relatively good for us. i had a spicy chicken and caesar salad… the salad was really wet so i didn’t eat it. i also removed one piece of bread from my sandwich and that cut down on my points intake for the whole meal!
i wonder if i should weigh in tonight or tomorrow…

having a bag of chocolate chips at your desk is not a good way to eat less!

not bad for not really following the plan at all! i really cut down on my snacking. today at meijer i bought lots of low fat and moderately low fat and still great tasting snacks for the next few weeks. mini nutter butters!! i’m gonna be hooked!
it’ll be exciting to see what i lose when i actually follow the plan :)

i’ve noticed that i’m not snacking between meals as much. i don’t think i did a very good job following the plan this week (no additional veggies, for instance) and at the same time i have this intangible goal that i’m reaching which is healthier than large weight loss.

eating too many pretzel rods makes my lower lip raw and hurty.

but listing the “i want to lose so and so many pounds” doesn’t have create initiative the way this does for me.
yes i want to lose weight, but i really want to stop being such a freakin’ slave to food.
the separation has driven me to drive-thru after drive-thru. take out chinese or walk over to the indian buffet or go out for thai or hit wendy’s… they’re not bad in and of themselves. they just keep ruling and it’s time for them to stop.
