fart less

Lots of wind today after a lunch of chick peas, but none of them were either smelly or loud so I’m happy with that.

I think that if I just stay far away from eggs everything is pretty much ok.

I had a nice loud one this morning, but it wasn’t smelly. It didn’t make me say, “What the hell is going on in there?” In general, I’m doing great with this goal!

I was doing great with this until yesterday. Fresh veggies will do that to you though.

Any progress that I’ve been patting myself on the back about was completely reversed yesterday. We had a bunch of fried garlic with dinner last night, and it worked my system. My gas was so loud it was like something out of a slapstick movie! The smell was intense, but actually not too repulsive. They smelled exactly like garlic.

I was on the road for three weeks with a prolific farter. Sometimes it felt as though the two of us were in a competition. It’s funny – it almost seems that farting is as psychological a phenomenon as it is physical. I didn’t fart at all the first couple of days – I didn’t feel comfortable enough around my road companions to let loose. But I wasn’t holding them in; I just wasn’t making them. A few days into it I started making my regular stink, and the more R produced, the more I would. It’s as though my ass felt that it had a companion, a partner in crime. And we both seemed to quit the stink business at the same time too. The last week or so of the trip was a peaceful time.

Hardly any farting lately … which means less reasons to laugh, but I’m happy to find other reasons!

I surprised myself with some loud ones today, but the main reason they were surprising is that I hadn’t done any in a while. They weren’t smelly, but they were laugh-out-loud audible.

I took an ascedopholis (sp!) pill to see if balancing out the bad bacteria with some of the good stuff would help my problem. I think I just added artillery to what was already in there. It was a shameful day.
