I hurt my wrist last week by falling down a couple of stairs. Clumbsy, dumb me! It’s still hurting quite a lot so I think I need to go beyone my iceing, resting, and massaging method of healing myself.

I went to see K, the bodyworker, and had a nice long session there. Left feeling very good.
Made healthier food choices than usual. Wait … chocolate counts as healthy, right? I think it’s unhealthy to deny onesself chocolate.
Went to the sauna with S and got rid of a bunch of icky stuff from inside; lathered up with some mud; finished with a freezing shower and a smile.
1. Work that requires physical activity
2. Begun seeing a body worker (fellow who incorporates massage, chiropractic strategies, and various other tricks to get the body in optimum health)
3. Drinking lots of water
4. Taking nice care of my skin
5. Eating pretty darn healthy
6. Pooping very regularly, several times a day even
Yeah … my body is my friend now!
I ate something green yesterday and it occurred to me that I hadn’t done that in a while.
I was just going to put some flax seeds in hot water and have that to make my bowels happy, but then I just kept adding things. A squirt of ecenecia, a few squeezes of lemon, a pinch of cinnamon and a bit of honey. Delicious.
The food I’m eating lately is all locally grown, all super-fresh, and almost all organic. Can’t complain about the flavor, either.
I’ve got the sniffles, and I’m hoping it’s just an allergy thing and not a germey thing. Either way, I’ll take it as a reminder to treat my body well. I’m loading up on the water, and I went to the grocery store for lunch: apples, oranges, a banana, an avocado, a V8, and a vitamin C loaded juice blend. The goal is no congestion when I hit the pillow tonight.
I’ve had a little jar of Tea Tree Oil for a very long time now, but I’ve only recently decided to try using it. I washed my face with it this morning and the breakout I’ve been dealing with for a few weeks now has significantly decreased and my skin feels great!
I put a lot of time and attention on my feet today. I clipped back my nails, I scrubbed the parts that are often ignored, I massaged, I moisturized and used cuticle cream and balm and all sorts of other things that make it pleasant to just sit and rub my feet together.
My BOYfriend suggested a simple and quick routine for working my upper body. I did it this morning, and my arms have been soar all day – but soar in a good way, not painfully soar. I’m looking forward to doing some more, which is not usually the sentiment I feel when I think about working muscles.
Lower body is taking care of itself, as it usually does when I’m active. I’ve been on the bike every day, sometimes extensively, and the legs are becoming more and more shapely. I wore shorts today and my BOYfriend gave me lots of looks and grabs and praise.
