Be a great dad

Boy, it’s been nonstop for the past couple of weeks. I spent most of last week at home taking care of Little Girl with the stomach flu. Lots of Pedialyte and TLC and she is back on her feet, er, hands and knees. This was probably my most trying experience as a father so far; I won’t go into details but by Friday I was crispy-fried, emotionally speaking. Lucky that I have a fairly considerate wife and we took it easy after that. I honestly have no idea how single parents manage.

Little girl is teething something fierce lately. Most days (and nights) are OK, but every so often (like last night) my wife and I get up two or three times to deal with a very unhappy little girl. It’s a great opportunity to do some good dad-ing; mommy is a morning person and I’m a night person, so we can split the job OK. Baby just wants to be snuggled. And a little baby tylenol doesn’t hurt either.
