Now that I’ve finally settled down enough to have furniture and white goods, I want to travel!
It seems to go that you have three choices in life: kids, career or travel…
Granted, some do all three.
I’m taking the travel option. I’m a youth worker by trade, which seems to have broken my clucky button; kids are great providing you can leave them in someone else’s care at the end of the day and go home to a nice glass of wine and some chill out time ;)
So, check and check on kids and career. Efficiency! Now, travel.
Everyone seems to be put off by Europe because it’s expensive. I’ve decided I can’t care about that. It’s where i want to go, so I’ll just have to make it work.
As my first small step, yesterday, I bought an atlas. Along with lots of maps, it has a brief summary of each of the worlds countries so I can start making a short list! Also, it’s small enough to fit in my bag so I can take it with me where ever i go. That means that while i’m traveling on buses and trains, I can plan bigger travels on planes!
