become a speech language pathologist

I am four months into my CFY, and I still love my job! I count this goal as done once I get my CCCs in May! I have reprioritized this because it seems like I already have this all set up to happen…especially since I am already working as SLP in order to complete my CFY. :)

I graduate on August 24th and begin my new job on the 25th!!

Just three quarters (out of 8 total) to go! I am excited to do my school placement next quarter and use my bilingual skills.

I am going to love being an SLP. I can’t wait.

I’m about half way through my 3rd quarter of grad school. I’m so happy that I made the decision to be an SLP. I know this is a career that will be fulfilling for me.

I applied for a scholarship to attend a bilingual SLP symposium this summer. I had an interview for it yesterday!! Woohoo!! I hope it get it!

I have offically been accepted to the grad program in Speech Pathology at OSU!! Yeah!!

I’m taking Intro to Hearing Science right now and Intro to Audiology next quarter.

I managed to get an A- in Bioacoustics!! Go me!

I am in the process of taking my pre-requisites and applying to a graduate program in SLP. Currently I am worried that the classes I registered for Fall will not end up going because I am the only person signed up.

Update (11/9): Bioacoustics (the course I mentioned above) is going well. I wasn’t able to take the distance learning version like I wanted because no one else signed up. I was able to work things out so I could take a different (non-distance learning) section of the class during my lunch break.

Also, all of my materials have been accepted for grad school application. Now I just have to wait until March to find out if I get in. Next quarter I’m taking another class…Intro to Hearing Science.
