Made tacos yesterday! I still need to learn when to know when the meat is cooked well enough (think I overcooked it a bit to be safe) and how to roll the tortillas right, but hey, at least I did it. I bought Chinese tonight, kinda wish I didn’t now.

Financially, I’m forced to eat at home more now, so I need to learn to cook more than pasta before I turn into it.
It’s mostly laziness that stops me. I eat when I’m hungry and thus don’t have time to muddle through recipes and ingredients.
I have a kitchen(ette) that is all my own in my new place. I’ve been cooking (not microwaving) bacon every morning this week.
Now that I live in a place where the kitchen won’t make the Board of Health vomit, this should be easier.
Since my current kitchen is so disgusting, maybe I’ll try learning somewhere else…
Started asking around about what would be a good first cookbook. Maybe YOU could tell me.
