so we decided to have a picnic in my living room (it was raining) and we made hummus, potato salad, bread and lemonade from our cupboards, then we watched a bad 80s film (earth girls are easy) then decided it would be fun to set up a chocolate fountain, which we hardly ate any of cos of all the yummy cake we had. Now she has gone I am going to lick the chocolate covered wooden spoon.
with Chicago soundtrack in my head, the volume turned right up, I just had to jump out of bed and start singing to my cat kicking my legs up high and gesturing with my newfound ‘Jazz hands’.
from a truly fantastic gig, a little bit merry when the power in the street went off causing all the house alarms in the street to go off. Then I realised that my work alarm would also be going off (I work on my street) and my boy decided to make me, out of sheer kindness and consideration for our neighbours peaceful slumbers to go and turn it off (at 1.30 in the morning) only to find it hadn’t gone off at all, which is probably a good thing cos not only is it 15 times louder than your average house alarm but it is also connected to the police. We ended up having to sleep on the floor of the living room all night cos it was so ruddy loud.
at 11.08pm precisely that I would make Chocolate Brownies. I had been thinking about them all through Holby City and my tea, so I did so there and they didn’t really fall apart.
because it was a dream… but a very pointless one. I dreamt I was spending christmas with Absnasm, Bex and Cubalibre and we were in some old haunted house, I can’t remember much except it was cold and we were all in our nighties trying to find our presents but then randomly the mice from bagpuss would run in and give us clues and crumbs from the larder. Bex and Cuba didn’t have proper faces either as I haven’t met them (yet)and a book titled Robin Hood kept on floating about.
bit of pointless fun, involved me watching the re-run of the Oscars in my sparkly ballgown and pink knitted bed socks – yes we do need the contradiction – with temporary flatmate (we will call him Uncle Apricot) wearing his indonesian smoking gown and worn sandals, not sipping champagne but a fine selection of tap water and eating rocket and blue cheese baguettes.
I think Wednesday night, I was at home alone, watching the new series of Desperate Housewives, so I thought I’d put on my new floaty skirt and paint my toenails and sip tea, so I did, and it was fun and of course utterly pointless.
I was at the Metrocentre in Gateshead… which is a hidious shopping centre that was once the biggest in Europe apparently, well anyway, I thought it would be great to go down an escalator and back up again… just cos I felt like it and then laughed manically at my perturbed boyfriend…a bit like this: MOAWAHAHAHAHAWAHAHWWWW
I would wear my 1970s two piece which if you saw it would think you’d only wear it for somewhere special, but no I decided what if I never get invited to somewhere special again..? What then, what if I never got to wear it again? How horrid would the world be? So I decided I’d put it on and wear it for work and make the otherwise ordinary ofice day a more exciting one, so I did HA!
