So I’ve made it one month with no Diet Coke or soda of any kind. :)

So I made it through my first week, Diet Coke (and all soda) free! It was actually not as hard as I thought it would be. I guess it’s good that it’s summer so iced tea and water are abundant and refreshing.
I’ve also found that not having soda makes fast food less appealing. Who wants a burrito with a glass of water? Not me.
Day 3 was great. I was gone all day and drank water and iced tea. Every time the “I want a DC” thought came to me, I made myself say “I don’t drink soda.” My treat while out and about is iced tea from Starbucks. It’s not too expensive and it’s fresh and delicious.
I was listening to some old podcasts of Jillian Michaels (from the Biggest Loser). She gave up Diet Coke and said it took two months for her to feel like a normal person again!
My first DC-free day was good. I took Tylenol twice yesterday to prevent the terrible headaches. I’m still drinking a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of iced tea in the afternoon, so I’m not going completely caffeine-free.
OK, so I drank my last Diet Coke today. It’s quite vulgar how much I’ve been drinking. I’m embarrassed and I’m done.
