You know, I’m doing pretty well at this. I still snack more out of habit than hunger, which makes sense considering the lack of food in my snacks. But at work (overnight shifts with no one in the building) I can basically eat as I please, and I really do tend to wait until I’m actually feeling hungry. Hell, I’ve even gotten to the point where I can predict hunger a good half hour out, which pathetically enough is a fairly new skill. It’s really disturbing exactly how much of an overeater I was raised as (not that I’m blaming my parents, but that’s how it wound up).
