new to try: complain less — 2 weeks ago
Aiming for a complain-free week at first (that’s going to be hard!).
Aiming for a complain-free week at first (that’s going to be hard!).
after 30 days, the results:
-my important project (P)W&S: I didn’t work on it 2h every week day, tsk tsk.
-stay away from 2 travel websites: done!
-wake up at 5:45 – I will keep on trying. Most days I wake up at 6, some days at 4:30 or 5… of course I could use an alarm clock but that would be no fun, I would like to wake up at 5:45 by myself without any alarm.
It was great to challenge myself, I’m doing this again.
I’m challenging myself to do the following for 30 days:
-work at my important project (P)W&S at least 2h every weekday
-stay away from 2 travel websites I visit too much
-wake up at 5:45 am everyday (should not be too difficult, I’m a morning person by nature)
I’m starting tomorrow and plan to report back in June.
Now that I’m keeping my home clean and organized, I’m buying fresh flowers. The effect is very nice. I also have a proper flower vase now :)
Now I’m trying to follow a to do list everyday, I’m really enjoying this. As for the previous habits listed, I’m still having problems with laundry and fruits. Decluttering is giving me great satisfaction, I feel I’m on my way to conquer chaos.
How I’m doing with the good habits listed on my first entry:
Daily Stuff
1.I really need to do this every day!
2.doing ok
3.Never thought something so easy could bring so much satisfaction! I’ve been doing this every day since I first wrote it here.
Weekly Stuff:
A. ok
B. Problem here.
C. first week ok, second one I couldn’t be bothered.
D. My major problem seems to be clutter, even though the place is small. Just the thought of looking at my little piles of clutter makes me sad. I’ve been avoiding this one. The only progress I made was with jewelry boxes, it only took me 1/2 hour.
D7 done!
Healthy goals:
i. very easy!
ii. very difficult, I’ve been cheating and eating a small physalis (wintercherry) a day.. how silly is that?!
iii. so far, so wonderful
I’m fed up with my messy ways. I need to incorporate some good habits into my life and instead of creating loads of goals I’ll just list everything here:
Daily Stuff:
1. Don’t let clutter pile up.
2. A place for everything and everything in its place
3. Clean the sink before going to bed.
Weekly stuff:
A. CLEANING: hoover the place and clean the bathroom
B. LAUNDRY including the towels and bedsheets
C. GARDENING: cut the grass or whatever needs doing that week
D. CONQUER CHAOS: set apart 2h a week to DECLUTTER and ORGANIZE the following areas:
D1 cabinet next to the fireplace where I keep mementos from past trips and other junk
D2 top shelf of the bookcase where I keep some photos, I feel I should scan most of them
D3 pile of books next to my bed
D4 my drawers!
D5 small cabinet where I keep computer stuff
D6 blue folder box
D7 jewelry boxes, loads of stuff I don’t use anymore
D8 digital photos
I could use some healthy goals too:
i WATER Drink at least 4 glasses a day
ii EAT FRUIT at least 5x a week (as oppose to twice a year)
iii BE ACTIVE go for a bike ride at least once a week… and carry on swimming 5x a week :)
