get another job

i have a job as a teacher with mentally and physically disabled kids- but i get paid so little it’s basically volunteer work, since i don’t have a license to teach.

so i need a new job. i’m going to start my job hunt today. craigslist and walking around town looking for help wanted signs, here i come!

i dropped off my application at the gym, and met with the manager briefly. he said he’d talk with the woman who did scheduling and would be in touch soon. i don’t know if this means i have the job yet but it does not sound bad!

i applied to be a receptionist at a nearby gym! so many bonuses: free membership (i have no excuse not to work out), close enough to ride my bike (no driving involved, getting outside in this nice weather, and exercise!), i have unlimited access to healthy sandwiches and smoothies at the organic cafe…and i get paid. for an easy-peasy job. yay!

my mom’s trainer referred me to the manager, and told him i was awesome, basically. he said he wants to meet me! i think that is a good sign.

only downside: ugly blue polos. :(
