be less passive aggressive

I’m a very forthright person. I’m able to give straight, to the heart advice tempered with compassion when people ask me for it. But when it comes to my own life, I find myself afraid to say what I feel to some of the people very close to me because I know what the reaction will be and simply don’t want to deal with it. I hate this about myself and would really like to change it!!
