OK, I totally forgot to keep all my goals updated, so here goes. I lost another 12 pounds between my last entry and January 13th, so I got to 12 stone in the end.

I will be climbing back on the weight-loss wagon later this year after giving birth to our first child.



Week 11 4 years ago

12st 12lbs

It looks like I’ve not lost anything, but after a couple of terrible weeks which saw me put on 4 pounds, I’ve now lost that and am ready to continue with the weight loss. I’m starting to need new clothes and rediscover ones that have been in the back of the wardrobe for too long

12st 12lbs – another 2 pounds lost.

I now fit into a size 14! I bought some gorgeous jeans in the Next sale in July and now, finally, fit into them. :)

13st – another 2lbs lost

I’ve thrown myself back into this as I can now see the effects and am getting a lot of people commentating on my weight loss. Another week and hopefully I’ll be 12 stone something. Can’t remember the last time I was around this weight. I seem to have been struggling with it for 5/6 years now.

13st 2lbs – no change

I didn’t expect to lose anything this week but I’m glad I didn’t put anything on. I was out partying on Saturday night and have been house hunting and not eating properly for most of the week, so it’s nice to see I’ve not put more on. Will definitely make a more concerted effort this week. I’m so close to getting into the 12s now.

13st 2lbs – another 2 lbs lost

Well, I think so. Turns out my scales aren’t entirely accurate. I stood on them this morning and got the above but I couldn’t see it very well, so moved them under the light. That had me at 12st 13lbs. I then moved them somewhere else and I was 13st 10lbs. So I moved them back to the first place, which is where they’ve been the whole time. It might not be the exact weight, but at least I’m being consistent by keeping them in the same place all the time.

It would have been easy and more confidence boosting to take the lower weight but I know it can’t be right as I had a couple of not-so-good days (where I was good all day but blew it once each day)

Week 3 4 years ago

Weight: 13st 6lbs (- 2lbs)

Is it weird that I’m actually enjoying this? I’ve tried so many different diets over the years and often given up by the end of the second week, but I’m actually really enjoying this one. OK, it’s a pain when cooking for friends who aren’t dieting but I think I’ve sorted out a menu for tonight when we have friends over for dinner. But I don’t feel permanently hungry and I’m equally not getting hung up on it either.

Weight: 13 st 8lbs (-2 pounds)

The first week went well in the end, I found house hunting a happy distraction at work and I’m now almost enjoying the whole thing.

But, I did ditch the whole diet over the weekend when I went to visit my best friend to help celebrate her birthday. As nice as it was to eat pizza, drink beer and share Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, I didn’t feel all that great on the train home and I think my body was none too pleased at the sudden load of E numbers and who knows what else from the pizza. Despite all that, I actually found it very easy to revert back to the diet this morning and I’m not feeling hungry at all.

The weight loss is a bonus, I’m now just worried what will happen to my willpower the first time I don’t lose anything in a week. I just need to keep sight of my ultimate goal.

Weight: 13st 10 (-3 pounds!)

Day 3 of Slimming World proper and it’s not going well. The weekend was easy cos I don’t eat much anyway and there’s always plenty of distractions to keep my mind off it. But, sitting in work this afternoon, I have a massive chocolate craving. I have plenty of syns left for the day, so can allow myself something small. But I don’t know whether to or not. I’m worried I might have something and then want some more and more.
