plan my wedding...

So, I have ordered my dress, we have chosen the bridesmaids dress, and thus finally chosen a color scheme, bright pinks and greens, we have met with a booked the DJ, and I have found a wonderfully, beautiful invitation design on Etsy, that I plan on ordering soon. Woo hoo! I have gotten so much done! Yay!

I am also working on my centerpiece ideas, seeing if I can get them to work. Then I will need to contact a florist, about Aug/Sept we’ll need to choose the menu.

Oh I also need to do my save the date cards ASAP. Then I am on easy street for a bit~

So far I have got my venue, my date, my bridal party. I have been working on getting the dress, as it’s coming down to the wire, timing wise. Everyone tells me it takes about 6 months plus 1 – 2 months for alterations, which puts me just under my November wedding. I need to get on it. But it’s just so hard to decide. Which DRESS do you like better???

I have made some serious progress in the last month. I researched and visited venues. I just this week booked the venue for the ceremony and reception, a beautiful intimate clubhouse at a golf course. And I contacted an officiant and have a meeting set up at the end of this month to see if it’s a good fit and discuss pricing. Now I can send out my save the dates, 11/7/09. :-) I’ve also been researching dresses, centerpieces, etc. I am going to a bridal convention tomorrow.

I am so, so , SOOO excited!!! :-) Almost 10 months to go!

Only 4 days of being a “fiancee”! I am still so elated and happy and excited and happy and SHOCKED! I don’t even want to start thinking about it yet. But I know planning a wedding is a big deal. I don’t have a ton of money and don’t want anyone going bankrupt over it. I am so excited but nervous about the wedding planning!!!
