Super easy, super light, fun read. The main charecter is likeable, and sympathetic. it gets a bit depressing towards the end, but nowhere near as sad as a Hardy novel. Its amusing how much society has changed, and yet, the social commentary is still relevant. I’d like to read more by Wharton—I read Ethan Frome recently, and I enjoyed it too.

I keep reading other books… I’ll never get done with this!
Right now I’m halfway through “He Knew He Was Right” and I want to read “Love in the Time of Cholera”, but after those two, I have three college board books lined up and ready to go…
I really enjoyed this one. I could identify very strongly with Maggie, and I like that Eliot creates sympathy for all her charecters, b/c I think that is a good trait.
I also think the men in this book are creepy, but hey, that’s ok.
This is the kind of book that makes you want to die young.
Its good, but as it ends, it gets depressing/disturbing
51 books left
I just finished The Bell Jar. Truly amazing.
I’ve got 54 left now, and will begin either The Last of the Mohicans or The Sound and the Fury tomorrow. And whichever one I don’t, will be next.
Then I’m taking a break from the college board to read Sons and Lovers, and if it gets here before i next get to the library, some Thomas Hardy.
