Make 2009 My Best Year Yet

february not over yet and I failed in the goal No. 2- extend my job contract.
so well, now I am at the crossroad, forced to move forward, even though I wanted to stay safely on my home territory of the old job. It has not been exactly surprise that my boss do not want to continue our collaboration (was no collaboration anyway), but it still feels wrong that she decided to let me go from the reasons that do not have anything with my skills, achievements or fact-related stuff.

Overally, January went quite fine for me. There was time for everything:
1) partying and welcoming year 2009 with best friends
2) inviting friends for lunch and being invited over
3) visiting both families and having one extended family lunch
4) visiting exhibition and theatre
5) decorating flat with paintings, making new shelves for new books
6) getting secret tip for work
7) entering into lino course
8) lax working routine :-)
9) having serious discussion about future
10) and the best of all – January is over

1. travel
2. extend my job contract
3. start off successfuly our new project and write 2 more
4. go on with the training for kids and my own training
5. get into the elite club of scientist dealing with CP
6. finish the lino and make some more
7. arrange the things about our house in PL – organize the brigade
8. see the extended family more
9. get invited to at least one proper wedding
10. settle

To start off new year with enthusiasm requires good travelling plan to have something to look forward to. Last year it came naturally, now I put some thinking into it, but then it appeared quite clearly. Again, it would be nice to have a few short distance trips during the winter and spring and then a roadtrip in the summer. Summer is still quite distant, so I focused my planning on upcoming trips:
1. trip to Piestany
2. Prague and Pardubice (to see cubistic furniture exhibition)
3. BA and hiking trip
4. Paris (hope it will tae place this year after last year fiasco with buying online cheap airtickets).
This seems as a solid and workable plan, so 2009 can start :-)
