Alicia and I have decided we are to co-host a roving tea party between our two apartments, which are within nice walking distance. This has only been planned to the point that we have decided to have one. Here I will draw up what I envision as our basic M.O. We will have a super-dressy retro tea party at Alicia’s with lots of classy french music and delicious tea. Then we will go a-roving to my place, where we will all drink more tea, perhaps also some wine (and, always, inevitably whiskey, beer, and gin & tonics). And here’s the kicker—Taylor and I are building a huge room-encompassing fort in our Map Room as soon as we buy some spare sheets from the thrift store. It’s all very exciting!!! (This just in: I have just discovered that my “x” key is sticking.) In the Map Room we will dance madly to talking heads, beck, david bowie, et al, and get terribly lit. I am stoked. I’m going to shoot for my weekend off in july and even send out real invitations. parteeeee! anyone want to come?
