i have changed this from "be a better wife"

to have a successful marriage. something about only being “better” at being a wife wasn’t sitting right with me for some reason. i like the essence of this goal better; it has more to do with both people as much as my part/role in the relationship. there are certainly aspects of this goal that overlap with “being a better wife,” but as long as i remember that, i like that this goal incorporates my husband into the picture. he’s as much a part of our relationship as i am, after all.
