if we saved roughly $9k, we would have three months’ worth of cash to at least be able to pay our bills (rent, car loans, utilities, etc.). since we use hubby’s income for most of the other consumables (groceries, gas, entertainment) i’m just going to work with the fixed expenses. granted, we still have to shell out for our 2005 taxes, but before that, we’re almost halfway there. who knew? not me. i think if we could save the other half by the end of the year, that would be way cool. that might be tough since we’re trying to eliminate our credit card debts at the same time, but it would be worth striving for, anyway.

she defined how much she wants to save and by a specific date. i think that is what this goal is clearly lacking – more definition. i’ll have to do a little math and then put some parameters on this one.
