drink absinthe

I just got back from a trip of Europe. While there, I planned to try and find some. I originally planned to find a bar at the airport where I had to change planes. When I got there, everything was closed, plus it was like 7AM local time and I didnt really want to. Later in my trip, I noticed the bar at my hotel had it. However, I didnt want to be seen doing this, and it was in a high profile location, so I felt the risk was too high (my dad was travelling with me and I didnt want him to know). As I was about to fly home, I saw a large (750ml?) bottle of it in one of the duty free shops. It was relatively inexpensive compared to the stuff you see sold online, no more than about $17. Unfortunately I just happened to be flying the day after They decided you cant bring any liquids on the plane with you, and since I had already checked my luggage, that wasnt an option. Besides, I dont want a big bottle, just a little one or one drink – what if I dont like it? Also, I was talking to a friend about it and he raised an interesting point. Will drinking absinthe screw up your results for a drug test? If anybody knows, email me.

Well I found that you can buy it online. Its expensive, but I would pay to try it just once. The problem is that shipping is a real bitch. I looked at 2 sites that sold .04ml bottles. One wanted $25 for shipping alone, and the other wanted $18 for the stuff, shipping included, which is basically too much for just one shot. Maybe I’ll get to Europe at some point and can get some there. Otherwise, who knows?
