have conversations late into the night with fascinating people

Very fascinating & interesting conversation with him about Cuba & how truly authentic friendships & community exists in poorer countries in a way that seems so much more genuine than in the West.

I also talked to him about NYC since he’s going there for a few days with his girlfriend. The NewYorker in me came alive and I talked on and on about the best city in the world…The Big Apple.

I find it fascinating that he can speak Dutch, Spanish & English all so well.

I feel motivated about improving my french and perhaps spending time in Quebec and of course one day Paris! I associate France with love. OMG stupid hollywoodean values of mine!

You know when you just meet someone and talk and talk and talk and talk with no barriers, expectations or clock-watching.

The closest I came to this was with my coworker a few weeks ago. I got home two hours later than usual because we talked for a long time.

I find that even when I meet fascinating people, sometimes there are these unwritten expectations and sometimes this fear of saying too much and not seeming perfect.

I just want to be me and share silly stories, past mistakes, get to know someone kool who’s ok with where they are. platonically freeing friendship…
