The thing is that while I have recently started painting a lot more than I had been for a while this is an on going goal and I will always be trying to paint more!

Tomorrow I give the commisioned pieces to the buyer. I liked them better before, but he wanted certain things and truthfully I didn’t argue, so I can’t blame the fact the I don’t like parts of it on him. His whole family really likes them though, so I guess I acomplished my goal. Oh and I learned that if I ever do any commisioned pieces again then I will agree to certain color sceems and styles, but I will not comprimise the integrity of my work, or diverge from my style for the demands of the buyer. I day lived, a lesson learned.
I stretched three canvases today and prepared some sketches. I think that this commissioned piece might actually work out!
I have never been able to paint for another person. It has always been about painting for myself, some sort of emotional release. Theraputic really. Whenever soemone likes a painting I give it to them. Yesterday I friend asked to commission me to do a painting for his wall. I have never done anything like that before and I am horribly nervous. So tomorrow…get up early, make some coffee and start painting. See what I can do…
