We’ve sold out flat, and are buying a house in Hastings, by the sea, next to the country park… HOORAY!

I’ve got a job in Hastings and we’re going to move down there.

When in London a two-bed flat in a dreary suburb is beyond your dreams – suddenly, the possibility of a house! Near the sea!

I think we might fancy taking the waters of Tunbridge Wells, perhaps a visit to a coffee shoppe. We went on Sunday to see what we could see,we could afford a flat here too, and it might be slightly easier to get to work than Leigh on Sea. It’s a pretty place.

This is where we think we want to move, Leigh on Sea in Essex. Near to London for work, but cheap enough (I hope) to get a nice 2-bed flat. Dreaming of a sea view… which would make my landlocked husband very happy. He’s a Plymouth boy and misses the salty air.

so much better than looking out over the co-op carpark.

How this for madness – we want to sell our studio flat so we can get a 2 bed place (now we have a baby) and it was valued a few weeks ago at £165-175,000. Which seemed barking mad already.

Then yesterday the estate agent phoned us and said ‘it’ll be more like £200,000’

What’s wrong with everyone? Soon only millionnaires will live in studio flats and everyone else will be in a big tent just off the M25.
