almost there 1 year ago

my friend’s away so i borrowed her enlarger and bought my own print tongs, chemicals and other stuff and arranged a darkroom in my bathroom last night. i disappeared there for 5 hours.

god knows i missed developing pictures, i even missed the smell of the chemicals. i love the process, i love the results. i think there’s something truly amazing about black & white prints developed in an improvised darkroom with dodgy-ish equipment. the imperfection, the fact that there’s little chance of getting two identical pictures… it adds this ‘human’ touch, very important and precious in the age of all the photoshopped crap.
