Find a line from songs that define myself

or the artist…but I listened to it often during the Christmas Season…....
so here’s the line
..”I bet you bought your mom another sweater….

All I know is, when I first heard the song…there was a line
“Don’t trust a hoe..”
Now, my radio station, has thought it best to delete the entire “hoe” part out..
However, they have left the entire part of “Do the Helen Keller and talk with your hips” in…..
Maybe, I do, need to accept the wrinkles..Bob Seger, Styxx, REO Speedwagon…......as I look back, what could you possibly delete from those songs?

I am an older mom..perhaps, because…when she appears before me, with that little face, that fits, in the palm of both of my hands, with tears in her eyes…...because she is all of 7…perhaps because of her, I have learned, so much about unconditional love….if I was to give any gift of words to my children…..it would simply be this song

I have tried to find this song heart wrenching
Most people I know love this Christmas song
But, honestly, I hate this song
Take for example the line which states…”He was dirty from head to toe.” I am a mom…all I can think about, is that this poor woman, bad enough she is dying, on Christmas Eve no less, but her husband is sending her child, dirty, into a public place. If her husband cared at all, he would have forgot about the shoes, and followed the first rule mom’s have about kids..NEVER send them ANYWhere in public dirty…
The second reason I hate this song, is that the singer finds the true meaning of Christmas, solely based on someone elses tragedy…I cannot help but think, there’s something wrong with this picture….It’s like going home and saying to my spouse, “Gee honey, I really can’t find the meaning of Christmas this year…it’s kinda getting me down, so do you think you could take a whole bottle of sleeping pills tonight, maybe wash it down with a 5th of whiskey, I am sure the heart wenching event, will renew my Christmas spirit!”
Maybe its me…but, I just don’t get that song

“He had underlined in red, every, single, I love you…”

“Dance With My Father Again”..
He got it, when he made this song…
Every verse, beautiful

“Viva La Vida”
Can’t even pick just oneline..
the entire song…
And they remind me so much of the “Moody Blues”
When they sing this song

the author of “Twilight” and now “Breaking Dawn”
