but 1068, received, wow! Fun, yes, this site..humbling, eye opening, appreciative for all the support and the 1068 faces, I may never see, behind those smiley faces! Each one of those cheers, helped me make through another day, helped me realize I wasn’t as alone as I thought I was..made me realize that most people, try and fail, but keep trying..that we all have goals, that we all at times fall short of meeting them, or sometimes, there are those that exceed them..

Wow! Was I ever surprised this year! Last year, they could even get 250 people to attend. This year, there was 500 free tickets gone!
I literally, sat on the floor, listening to some of the most amazing “Geeks” half my age, teach me, about blogging for business, advertising on the web for free, the list is endless! I can’t help but admire these young people, that sacrificed their weekend, so that me and middle aged people like myself, could learn! If there is a PodCamp, in your area, check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

I loved participating in the parade last year…
We have learned from last year however, this year, were bringing lots of snacks, a ton of kid friendly and adult friendly beverages! Better shoes for walking! And lots of good shut eye, the day before!

called my friend, and siad “cut out of work early, Sept 10th, free concert at the Point before the Steeler’s Home Opener”..
She replied…”That scares me!” (she knows I dont go out much)
“BLACK EYED PEAS!!!!!” I screamed..”FERGIE!” “And Tim McGraw, somebody or other…” So out at noon on the 10th, to see a great free concert with my wonderful daughter’s and my best friend…
Signed up for “Pod Camp” October 10 and 11 at the Art Institute of Pgh…Did this last year..It was fantastic…free seminars held by some of the best in the computer feild…and they feed you..and it’s free…and you get to network…Fun fun fun!

went to a wedding..it’s not that I didn’t want to go..there are just so few hours in a day..so many other things I could be doing, more productive. I knew the battle that faced me as well, dressing a seven year old, in a princess pink dress when all she wants to wear..is basketball shorts and tee-s…and than there’s the “age appropriate” dress I bought for the 15 year old….which she only consented to wear, if I bought her the “Other Dress, the tiny, small, inappropriate dress” that made me almost cover my eyes….
Productive….comes in many forms, I learned that again today
Productive, is watching, two people deeply in love and recalling, that you too, had that moment of your life….it’s cookie tables and wedding cake…..it’s being proud of…your family, your roots…it’s dancing “the Twist” and “the Electric Slide”....Productive is sometimes, just stopping, and savoring the moment…

“Coffee Shop” being built in my neighborhood. So, I stuck my head in the door, and chatted with the two owners, that are still desperately attempting to complete this project before the Grand Opening in July. The Coffee Shop, is quite sheek, with it’s totally black walls, low lighting..something you would see in New York..
I had to smile, when the owner offered his view, about the kind of customer would be drawn to his establishment..
”....No sports talk of any kind, just intelligent conversation, about art, literature, politics..”
I could not help but ask “Are you going to be busing in these customers?”
He looked at me for a moment, and than we both started laughing, thankfully, he told me, his wife told him the very same thing….

Today, my cheers received tallied 1000! It felt like when your the thousandth customer that walks through the door….and the balloons drop,and there’s confetti! And you stand back, completely dumb founded, and think “I don’t know how I did that, but it sure feels great!”

I have a very unusual maiden name….very few people share this name…to my delight, when I searched for the last name on Facebook, I came across another person, who has that last name, and oddly she spells her first name exactly like mine..
She like 20…”Wow, what luck!” I thought….when someone I graduated with, ever tries to look me up on Facebook, they’ll be like “Damn, does she look good!” “I knew I should have taken her to the Prom”
