I can’t believe I haven’t done this in a month. I can’t seem to be able to keep this up for anything.
I did a little yoga today. Maybe I’ll just tell myself that a little bit is enough as long as its something. I’ll do more on days I feel like it, but if I don’t then I just don’t.

I took two “mental health” days but I’m back on it.
My routine is:
30 minutes on treadmill
1 mile on bike
Swim for as long as possible (usually at least 30 minutes but sometimes as long as an hour and half)
Now I want to get up to 1 hour on the treadmill and 3 miles on the bike, and then swim. That’s my goal. Also I need to start doing crunches again.

I skipped one day last week because I was working on my novel, but other than that I have been going every day for the past week. I was swimming every day but now I’m going to run on the treadmill and ride the exercise bike in the gym at the apartment. Its still sometimes warm enough to swim, but hardly ever. I still go lay by the pool for some sunshine though. The other day I started running on the treadmill and I fell of and hurt myself pretty bad, and yesterday I ran again, and last night I felt like I’d pulled a muscle in my leg from running on a hurt leg after I’d fallen on it. So that sucks. I’m still going to exercise today but maybe I just won’t do anything too hard on my leg, or maybe I’ll just do some crunches and call it a day.

I’m still exercising every day. Yesterday I swam really hard. I am doing a lot better. I love it! I did get sunburned but its okay. I have to wear more sunscreen. I got spf 85 so hopefully that will help.

I went swimming again today, but I was really sunburned from yesterday (we are all out sunscreen, but we are buying more this evening) so I didn’t spend as much time swimming as I did yesterday. I am going to run/walk with Stephen tonight too though so then I’ll have more exercise.

Yay for me! I went swimming again today. I swam and did some exercises for my back while in the water to make them more difficult. My muscles are def. feeling it. I feel great though. Not so tired that I don’t feel like doing anything for the rest of the day, and I was out there for 3 hours! I got some sun too. My freckles are very visible. I got my heart rate up a lot so that’s good too. I love swimming for exercise. When you get tired you can just float and look at the clouds.

I am going to start doing this again. My back has improved so I can start exercising again. Today I went swimming. I don’t know how much I swam or anything but I did a bunch of laps. I def. got my heart rate up. I also got some sun! I love the pool here at our new apartment. Its much better than the one at our old apartment. I really love that this pool is a beach entry pool, where on one side you can walk in the water and it gets deeper and deeper, instead of going down step by step. Its prettier to look at too.
I realize now that I actually can swim, where I previously thought I could not, but I just have very weak arms and not much stamina, and when I accidentally swallow water I freak out, but I think I am going to start swimming every day until its too cold, and then I’ll do some other kind of exercise.

I just moved, and wow. What a workout. I am in bad shape. I mean bad. I thought that maybe I was little sloppy around the edges from not being up and at ‘em all the time, and being in an air conditioned apartment constantly and never going outside…. but apparently it is more than that. I already have a severe intolerance for heat and high humidity (and I live in Florida. Niiice.) so I was already at a disadvantage. Add to that my back problems, the fact that I have not done cardio, yoga, pilates, etc for about 4 months, and then you have my panting and sweating to move the last couple of days and feeling exhausted and wanting to cry.
So I don’t like that. And I’m going to do something about it. Now that I am in physical therapy and my back is starting to feel better I can do more. So I am going to start going to fitness center next to my new apartment, maybe swim in the pool, and go for walks outside. I am going to put my yoga stuff on the patio and do my workout out there instead of inside so I will get used to being in the heat more too.

I bought some new running shoes so I am going to start doing that, but my physical therapist said to start by walking for the first few times and then build up to running little by little.

Well I started physical therapy and I’m still not ready for exercise. I pulled a muscle in back over the weekend which is really not helping. They did give me some stretches to do to help my back but they are not enough to get my heart rate up or anything so I can’t really call them exercise…
