33. Bird By Bird by Anne Lamotte

two more 1 month ago

31. Alice In Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass. I started this about a week ago and I put it down to read the other books I got in the mail and picked it up again today. I thought it would be longer than it was. It had a lot of pictures in it, I guess that’s why it was so thick. I love Alice in Wonderland. I especially love Jaberwocky and the Queen Alice song.

32. The Bounce Back Book. Which I started a few weeks ago and finished last night.

I ordered three Amazon books today and I should have them next week. Until then I will have to read Bird by Bird and also see if I can’t find some others somewhere until I get the new ones.

29. A Certain Slant of Light
30. The Virgin Suicides

Finished BOTH last night! Good for me!

27. Rebel Angels by Libba Bray
28. The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray

It only took three days to read them both because they were impossible to put down. I was very surprised by the trilogy’s end…

Part of me feels a little like cheating on this goal.

See, the goal is to read 43 books. Not FINISH 43 books.

I’ve def. read, but not finished more than 26 books. Can I help it if the books I attempted to read were so horrible and not worth my time that I couldn’t bear to finish them? Or can I help it if they were too much for me emotionally? That the passages I’d read traumatized me to the point where I couldn’t stand to read anymore?

Maybe I will count them. Or maybe I’ll call them halfs. Like In Cold Blood and Atonement would equal one book and The Other Queen and Wednesday Letters would equal a half. Then I have two more books for the list.

But is that cheating? I don’t know…

Yay Me! 1 month ago

I got some new books in the mail yesterday and today.

26. Girl, Interrupted. Loved it. I am surprised how true the movie was to the story, not that many differences. I mean, yeah they Hollywood-ed it up a bit, but still.

I started it at around 8:00 pm and finished it at around 10:45 pm. It was very short. I expected it to be longer, but I’m glad because that means tonight I can start on another new book tonight and maybe achieve my goal.
