Identify and Rid Myself of 43 Items of Überclutter

Another small box of my son’s toys.
(he’s doing great with the purging,
now he knows other kids are getting them )
and
A large bag of clothes, mostly my sons
again, summer stuff he’ll never get into next year !

came to terms with letting go of my old wooden rickity bookcase this weekend, not even I could could make an arguement for its need to stay. Over twenty years old, not even books could keep it standing !

Fitting a new kitchen yourself is a great incentive to sling any old, unused, redundant items.
Having nearly completed the kitchen after many, many months
the last thing I wanted to do was pack it full with my useless junk!

So,
20. Hideous kitchen units & sink …YaY GONE !
19. 1 box of glasses (charity)
18. 1 box unwanted teaset (charity)
17. Cheese board & knives, unused gift (charity)
16. Coffee machine (local church) my husband did’nt complain ? Result!!
15. 1 box of assorted cups,mugs, odd eggcups etc (charity)
14. Bag of assorted teatowels, serviettes & tableclothes (local church)
&
13. Another wooden garden chair….it broke this weekend !

Ok, with the way our home is currently ‘upside down’
at the momment, its given us as a family the chance to purge,
purge,purge!!
So,
30 :Rickety wooden bookcase.
29 :Rickety wooden garden chair.
28 :Broken deck chair.
27 :Ancient old hoover.
26 :Ancient old baby highchair, otherwise known as a death trap ! LoL
25 :Broken expresso machine.
24 :Temperamental small toaster.
23 :Temperamental electric drill.
22 :1 bag of ugly shoes, mine.
21 :1 bag of son’s shoes, outgrown.
Yey!!

Im doing fine with this goal,
just not so great at updating : )
So,
No 33 : Garden seed trays, plastic pots and sundries -all extra to requirement from my shed sort out & given to a neighbour.
32. 1x box of outside playtoys outgrown by my son
given to charity. (This was a close call !!
How come little tipper truck’s suddenly take on
a magical glow once they are being given away ?)
No 31.1xsmall box of kitchen crockery
& glasses, all shamefully chipped (blush).

Im currently having a big ‘toy’ sort out with my son, so the next update may take a while! LoL

• these all went to the charity shops *
  Fabric stash X 1 bag. Ugly yards of fabric from Mum I know will not get used by me.
  Box X 1 of ‘handy’ plastic containers , some with lids.
  Large bag X 2 of old chocolate /biscuit tins for storage ?
  Small box X 1 of arts materials, crayons, posterpaints, large sugar paper etc .
• All this went to the local gallery were I often work to be used for school workshops.*

Yay ! all gone.
Ive more to list from the kitchen , as we’re in the middle of having a new one fitted. But Ill list them next time : )

So…thats 10 lots done 33 lots to go !

Oh my, I so need to do this.
I have a lot of clutter, all of it has survived the many, many cullings of ‘stuff’. I am a total magpie & do keep things just in case…!
But now I need to be ruthless. My 8 year old son is picking up my clutter habits & it just needs to Stop !! I may include him on this goal.
I cant cope with any more ” perfect ” sticks & rusty nails & Im sure my “handy” collection of plastic containers under the sink going,( that tumble out everytime we need the shoe cleaning stuff! )will be a blessing for all.
So Im going to get this done this week, next time I will have 5 lots of Ãœberclutter gone, gone, gone !
